History of Megatech
1994 Megatech is established with 10,000,000 yen of capital in Yamagata City by Amano Mitsugu. At first Megatech is primarily a distributor selling Aida, Komatsu, and Orii & Mec press machinery.
Sales and service staff are gradually increased and Megatech is recognized as the number one dealer of Aida press machines in Japan
(since then Megatech has continued to remain number one in Aida machine sales).
1995 Megatech oversees the export and installation of all press related machinery for the Mexico, Shanghai, and Thailand factories of a large Japanese audio maker. This marks the beginning of Megatech`s international import and export activities.
1997 Megatech becomes qualified by the Ministry of Labor to carry out special independent inspections of power press machinery.
1999 The heavyweight transport division is started with the purchase of a 10 ton truck and a 20 ton crane.
2000 Tochigi factory is established in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture (succession of the Autome Engineering Corporation). Used press machinery stock along with full machinery overhauls.
2001 Affiliate, MEGATECH ASIA CO. LTD. Is established in Hong Kong.
Sales of the first Megatech innovated original hydraulic cold press MA-1 series begins. The MA-1 series machines demonstrate high power on work schedules for long products items pieces.
Aluminum Cold forge press MTC1-2500 goes into production.
ORIIMEC Corporation recognizes Megatech as an outstanding distributor.
2002 Megatech Asia China office is established in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
2003 Megatech Asia becomes an official Komatsu product service provider in Guangdong Province, China.
2004 Heavyweight transportation division is fortified with a 32 ton large flatbed trailer (Mercedes-Benz front end and Tokyu Sharyo bed) and TADANO 30 ton truck crane.
2005 Main offices moved to new location in Wakamiya, Yamagata Prefecture.
2006 The Tochigi factory building was purchased and it was made the Tochigi division.
Purchase of an OKUMA 5 sided application machining center (MCR-BII) for the Tochigi plant.
2007 Succession of the OSAWA Engineering Corporation and the beginning of high speed transfer press and trimming press production and sales.
2008 Corporate capital increased to 50,000,000 yen and active international trade begun with China, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Beginning of Manufacture and sales of automated servo transfer unit.
2009 Beginning of manufacture and sales of aluminum cold forge press MSCF-3000 (with servo KC).
2010 The world`s fastest 600 ton servo press line is created by Megatech and installed for a special order.
Megatech becomes an official member of the JFMA (Japan Forming Machinery Association).
2011 Automated machine design and manufacturing division is created in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture.
Battery case trimming press for mobile phones (MST-8D) is created and put on display and for sale at MF-Tokyo 2011 (Metal Forming & Fabricating Fair).
Heavyweight transport division purchases TADANO 60 ton all-terrain mobile crane (heavyweight spec GA600).
2012 Thai affiliate, Amano Press Machinery Co., Ltd. Is established in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand.
Trimming press for car lithium batteries (BCT-6) is put into production and onto the market.
Heavyweight transportation division purchases automated gate type 50 ton suspended gantry crane and 50 ton trailer (SCANIA cab and Italy COMET bed).
2013 New and modified trimming press for car lithium batteries (BCT-8) is introduced to production.
OKUMA Intelligent Multitasking Machine (MULTUS B550) is purchased for the Tochigi plant.
In a move towards energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, a solar power array is installed at the Tochigi Factory.
